Hey, there. My name is Charlotte—I am a dramaturg and writer. I focus on the performing arts, especially opera, theater, and classical music. (And wherever those genres intersect.) I’m currently in my second year in Yale’s Dramaturgy and Dramatic Criticism MFA program. Previously, I worked in Germany for four years, firstly as a fellow of the Congress-Bundestag Exchange — a year-long State Department fellowship — and then as an assistant dramaturg in Theater Freiburg’s music theater and concert divisions.

Past projects have taken me to the Washington National Opera, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Glimmerglass Festival, American Opera Projects and the Saarländisches Staatstheater. I hold a Bachelor of Music in classical voice, with a minor in German, from Oberlin Conservatory.
